Father and Son
The Father Son Connection
Daily Maxims

"This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased" (Matt. 3:17)

"The son aspires to be a blessing to his father while the father sees him as a blessing no matter what he is. He is a gift of God that can preserve the legacy that flows from God"

Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God (Luke 3:38)

"Adam was called the son of God and he was made in his father's image after his likeness.  It is the father that presents the likeness of himself to the son. This likeness must be bestowed upon the son by the father who imparts it by way of instruction, training, and spending quality time.  The son does not give up his individuality and can never be his father and yet in the father's image he will function as the father does by way of his own nature and he will be like the father.  In this way he duplicates, objective, mandates and processes and yet he does so through his own individuality.

And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters: (Gen.5:4)

Sons must be begotten (Yalad-3205) by both the father and mother.  Conceptually all sons are not born by the father and the mother.  There is an philosophical and conceptualization mode of begetting a son.  The church can be considered the feminine aspect that is sowed into by the senior pastor.

There must always be two in succession.  One who sows into another while the other is being sown into.  Succession is a mutual bond between father and son.
And Noah Begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: (Gen. 6:10)
Noah's name means rest.  There are times that the sons that are born must deal with times of unrest and difficulty.  The sons of Noah were born in a time the incursion of fallen Pneumatics that caused the earth to be devastated.  Sons are often a part of the remedy for a broken time.  Sons, in this case are the extensions of the father to achieve a specific goal before they begin their personal journey and walk in their own destiny.  Destiny is tied to that which begets you as well as the path that you will choose to walk.

And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations: kings of people shall be of her. (Gen.17:16)

To have a son (Ben) is to be blessed of God.  The term Ben in the pictographic Hebrew language refers to a panel of a tent and the seed of a man.  Together these images refer to the continuance of a house.  It speaks of the son as one who is the propagator or the extender of a house.  It is here that the son should discover that they continue in moving the house into the furtherance of the direction in which God so desired it to Go.  The son will ultimately become the new navigating father who moves the entire legacy into growth and expansion of the vision and of the mandates.

And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain Slew (Gen. 4:17)

Sons must be appointed by God.  This term used is a very important term in that it expressly reveals that sons are not to be considered because of the will of man or the ruling leader.  The term appointed has a significant meaning that infers to a degree a sense of fellowship.  The word used is the word "Shiyth".  The Ancient Hebrew pictograph is composed of the human buttocks and a simple for unity.  It means a coming together to sit to drink.  As such this term means the place of sitting.  This, when considered can apply to the unity of choice to sit and to relax while fellowshipping (thus the drinking aspect).  From the conceptual perspective the term can refer to the act of laying hands upon and thereby setting one into an appointed place.  This term can also mean that one is placed in a position or appointed to be a specific thing.  Sonship is not an assumed position that one can casually stroll into but the position of sonship, even by natural birth, is the stationing and positioning of a being by the royal degree of God.  If there is a son it is by the rule and decree of our God.

"And Cain knew his wife, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, after the name of his son Enoch." (Gen. 4:7)

Cain who was now marked by God because he murdered his brother Abel as aged and appears to have come to realize his mistake in not giving God that which is His.  He names his son Enoch (Hanoch, which means dedicate).  Fathers have the responsibility to dedicate their sons unto a greater destiny and to prepare them for their servitude to God.  His name Enoch indicated that even Cain understood that the father must sow into the destiny of his sons.  It is the son that must choose which path he will adhere to.

"Understanding The Ben" (Gen. 4:25)

And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain Slew.

The term son is rendered in the Hebrew language in this scripture as the word Ben(bane) [1121].  The term is composed of two pictographic items.  The first is that of a tent and the second is a picture of a sprouting seed. The significance of this term is that of "building a tent and therefore indicates intelligence.  It is significant to realize that before one can walk in intelligence and understanding of what it takes to build a tent which is representative of a house there must first be a willingness to be trained and taught in the ways of building a house.  It is here that the knowledge of Legacy begins for the son.  The son builds to sprout consistently.  As the seed of the father the son is responsible for continuing the next generation.  Ben must understand his legacy for the purpose of fulfilling the meaning of the the totality of the meaning of Ben.  The two pictograms together mean to continue the house.  Therefore the son becomes the father who continues the house and who expands and seeks to grow the house through expansion and through the promotion of knowledge and wisdom.

"Sons Are Begotten" (Gen. 5:28)

"And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son:"

The term used in this scripture is the word ben. The ben (bane) son is one of the most used terms for son in the Old Testament.  The Ancient Hebrew pictograms are composed of two letters or images.  The first is the tent panel which speaks to intelligence.  This indicates that the father must have a degree of intelligence before becoming a legitimate father.  It is not merely having the physical ability to father a child but it speaks of the intelligence to raise and to maintain a child after they are sired.  The second image is that which is a sprouting seed or the active seed of a man which represents continuity and implies that the seed continues the next generation.  When these terms are joined together they literally meaning the house is expanded by the father when begetting.  This is an intentional and planned event wherein the father is desiring to have a child and to raise the child up with the expectation that family will extend into time with the teaching and the blessings given by the father.  A child is brought forth through the struggles of the mother and also the through the struggles of the father the son is taught and prepared to lead the seed that is expressed within himself as the next head of an off-shoot of a family.

Sons Perpetuate The Family Line (Gen. 18:14)

"Is anything too hard for the LORD?  At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son."

It is here that one can discover several things about a son.  The first thing is it is God who appoints the time of a son.  Jesus still upholds all things by the Word of His Power and it is within His decree what will be bequeathed by way of children and when.  Secondarily the term son (Ben) when considered from the ancient Hebrew pictogramic point of view the term is composed of several letters: which are the images of:

1.  A floor plan of a tent (Which means to build or the intelligence to construct)

2.  A vibrant, sprouting seed (Which means extension or to continue to generate)

The son cannot be chosen and determined except by God and the son must acquire intelligence because he becomes the generator of the next generation in building and extending the house in which he was appointed.

Sons Represent And Extend The Father's Image (Heb. 1:3)

"Who being the brightness of his glory and the express image of his person..."

Jesus represents the perfect son to the perfect father.  He and the Father experience a special oneness that fathers and sons are to experience ib a spiritual sense. Although human fathers and sons cannot share an essential unity of oneness that is within the godhead they can experience a spiritual unity wherein the father and son are within agreement where the father pours himself into the son and the son carries the philosophy and ideology and spirit of his father.  It is the life and endeavors of the father that impacts and empowers the son.

True Sons Have The Nature of Their Fathers And Will Generally Be Capable of Operating In The Image And Likeness Of Their Father (Genesis 1:26-27; Luke 3:38)

Adam was created in the image and likeness of God and therefore he had the capacity to operate within the same image and likeness of his father.  He was prepared to do so and he was given authority/dominion tailored for his personal ability.  He had to watch, listen and see all that was given to him without becoming distracted by those things that were given to him.  Spiritual sons must never be distracted by the natural lives which include wives, children, jobs etc.  where they cannot give to God what is His and his alone.  Enoch was blessed because no matter what occurred He walked with God.

Sons Are The Successors Of The Fathers And Generally Understand Their Place Is To Extend The Legacy of The House (1 Kings 1:26)

Even though those around David that was once faithful to him sought to right wrongs that David committed they did so without consulting the Lord.  The true son of a ministry will be position not by a mere office but also by the virtue and presence of God within the heart.  It is the presence and power of God that positions us into the true and rightful position of God's Choice.
